I am a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal and Sports Injury Radiologist.
My radiology practice encompasses comprehensive MSK imaging across all modalities, including both diagnostic and interventional facets. My special interests include imaging in sports injuries, rheumatological conditions and soft tissue and bone sarcoma. I am the lead radiologist for tertiary soft tissue sarcoma referrals and for Greater Manchester Oswestry Sarcoma (GMOSS) Service, where all the tertiary care referrals for bone and soft tissue sarcoma for the North West are discussed. I’m regularly involved in the multidisciplinary team meeting for providing optimum care for our patients. My NHS practice is based at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
My musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore in London and European School of Radiology scholarship at Heidelberg University has helped me focus on imaging in sports injuries and advanced techniques in musculoskeletal imaging.
I keep an active role in research and have published articles and written chapters for textbooks along with reviewing articles for scientific journals. I have a keen interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as lecturing in the UK and abroad. I have served as a specialist adviser to NICE’s Interventional Procedures Programme. I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
After completing my radiology training in Sheffield, I undertook a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore in London and completed a European School of Radiology scholarship at Heidelberg University focusing on imaging in sports injuries and advanced techniques in musculoskeletal imaging. I also hold a European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) Diploma in musculoskeletal imaging.
