I have trained at Edinburgh Medical School, Oxford University and the Manchester Orthopaedic Training Rotation and was appointed as a Consultant Knee Surgeon in 2014 at Salford Royal NHS Trust. I have since developed a progressive knee surgery practice using the latest techniques and surgical approaches. I perform all aspects of knee surgery and have performed thousands of successful operations, leading to excellent outcomes, results and patient feedback.
My areas of interest are knee sports injuries, replacement surgery, knee preservation techniques and biological treatments such as PRP therapy and cartilage regeneration.
My practice is based on teamwork, communication and high surgical standards. I approach surgery with the foundations of tissue preservation, restoring anatomy, function and enhanced recovery; getting patients back to fitness as soon as possible with the appropriate surgical intervention.
I have a keen interest in research and currently hold the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, with active research collaborations with Manchester University, Salford University and Manchester Metropolitan University.
