Mr Rajat Verma

Consultant Adult and Paediatric Spinal Surgeon

I am a Consultant Spinal Surgeon based at Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, where I see referrals from general practitioners and complex spinal referrals from other surgeons.

My expertise includes dealing with back pain and the various problems associated with the degenerative spine. I am trained to perform microdiscectomy, microdecompression, various fusion techniques and instrumentation of the spine.

I completed my higher surgical training in the Northwest, and undertook a complex spinal surgery fellowship under the supervision of Dr R W Gaines Jr. MD at the prestigious Columbia Regional Hospital, University of Missouri USA. During my time there, I learned techniques of dealing with complex spinal problems.

I have had papers published in peer reviewed journals, and have research interests in spinal deformity and degenerative back conditions.
